You don’t understand symbolism. Burning the flag is controversial, but it’s symbolizing a deep dissatisfaction on how the country is being run right now. It’s a sign that changes need to be made. Waving another country’s flag isn’t for that particular country, it’s to show support for the people coming from those countries.
