Which r-word? You should type it out and post it, there are a lot of r words

Yeah this is really vague can you explicitly state what word you’re talking about? I’m also dyslexic so please don’t self censor. Type every letter for me.

I’m still not sure what word you’re talking about. You should comment the word so people don’t have to guess

What word?

I know that #1 is only bringing it up to weaponize it against their perceived “opposition” (as they made jokes about using the same word in the comments) but tbh this re-normalization of using the r-word in a derogatory way is a bit fucked up.

Thank you, I’m just trying to say either it’s okay to use it or it’s not. I just think if one side uses it then the other side should too and the other way around

Oh wait you’re the dipshit weaponizing it that I was talking about, I thought the other commenter said that. yeah you’re just a scumbag, that’s why. You don’t give a fuck whether you harm anyone w the words you say, you just want it to be socially accepted to perpetuate said harm

Hey they called me that first! If they use it so can I. I don’t care about the word they just can’t tell me not to use it while they use it

At the very least, OP didn’t use the word. And since republicans are leading the renormalization of it, I can see how they could be associated with it.

someone else’s bad behavior doesn’t excuse your own, this is elementary-school level shit. also, let’s be honest here, if you’re a self-proclaimed republican in this day and age, i doubt you’d have an issue with ableism or any other form of prejudice regardless.

Oh yeah I don’t care about the word I’ll use it. I won’t ever stand for hate of anyone just because of how they were born though

but they’re not the ones who will be harmed by the renormalization of that word. They’re intentionally trying to renormalize the use of slurs in society, as part of their plan to renormalize and reinforce systemic oppression (not to imply that it ever went away, but they’re attempting to accelerate and expand it). It’s just like how they’re intentionally trying to desensitize the population in order to prevent mass revolt upon the inevitable release of evidence for all their heinous crimes.

we know you’ll use it, and the second part of your comment is inherently a lie based on that. not to mention in addition to your self-proclaimed affiliation with the Republican Party in THIS day and age.

It’s just a word, I’ve been called slurs for being a polish immigrant and it’s never phased me because I’m stronger than that. I will always stand up to anyone who is being attacked doesn’t matter who you are. Israel, Gaza, or Iran it doesn’t matter to me

I call my autistic brother in law that word and he calls me that too but it’s never been more than just a joke. I don’t understand how that’s wrong at all.

and do you know what slurs can lead to? you’re clinging on to the “it’s just a word” line, but it’s about the underlying prejudice and stereotypes behind using those words. The same prejudice and stereotypes that lead to hate crimes…

Yes, and we should try to prevent them as much as possible, wherever possible, right?
