Can you explain what about this makes you think I’m a liberal. I know there are some liberal policies in here though.

I guess by like the literal definition. I don’t mind private ownership I think there should be harsher restrictions though. I don’t think communism/socialism really would work in my opinion. It hasn’t worked and its ideas have left some of my past family members starving. I think it’s too authoritarian and idealistic personally.

the Soviet Union, Cuba, DPRK, Vietnam, Laos, China, and many other places if not for the CIA. socialism is only bad for private property and its owners

like we actually live in a shithole where people get poorer by the day, but y’all care so much for the supposed failures of communism? you don’t even live under it! you can readily observe capitalism’s failure every time you ride down the street and pass one of your neighbors who is now homeless because of this shitty system

Soviet Union had mass starvation due to the economic inefficiencies of their system. China has a more capitalist market now. My problem with communism is the economic inefficiencies and authoritarian rule that follows. Giving up your freedom to put everything in the hands of the workers (government) is a bad idea. I mean look at east and West Berlin. Sure you can say the CIA infected these places. That just seems like the system cannot survive with outward pressure which makes it a flaw.

And none of us are advocating for that? We just don’t think communism is the way to go. Obviously we have our problems and we have to come up with solutions to that but communism is not one of those.

the Soviet Union ended famine in a region prone to famine historically. their famines coincided with their civil wars, which is to be expected when large swaths of the country are plunged into instability. you’re talking about authoritarianism, whilst living in a fascist dictatorship. it’s laughable, because people really think that these elections are a) going to happen, or b) aren’t going to be incredibly rigged. and all power currently resides in the hands of capitalists, whose only

Yeah trump is an awful person and president. But many millions of people have died from abusive or neglectful Communist governments. Even with all the unnecessary coups/wars n shit, what the US has done it doesn’t compared to the magnitude of suffering resulting from Communist states.

qualification is ownership, nothing more. they’re rampant with nepotism, above the law, and they rape your fucking children while they make you slave away each day for a wage. y’all are just useful idiots lol

So ah yes the “we live in one oppressive dictatorship so let’s defend one I like” dude do you hear yourself. LIKE I SAID no one here is defending what is going on in this country right now. Tell the shit about the ussr to my family from former Yugoslavia they are doing way better now than before.

many millions more die each year because of the conditions capitalism creates. our nation exploits developing nations and perpetuates the cycles of colonialism. which are inherently unsustainable, without genocide, because people inherently resist exploitation. the antagonisms under capitalism create the conditions for tensions to rise up and revolt. the violence never ends under this system, which is why we have seen the BLOODIEST wars in human history under it
