People applying for citizenship in this country don’t have the same rights as other people in that process. For example, people who say they hate the United States or make threats against the USA don’t get to be citizens.

Saying you hate someone and having a rager on their grave is two very very different things. The point of the citizenship screening process is to determine whether someone is of good character, has no criminal background, and has something to offer society in the US. People who celebrate the deaths of others are not of good character and have nothing of substance to offer to society in the US.
