and as someone who hunts….anything beyond a standard shotgun w a scope is not justified. no way ur taking a buck home with an AR. if you are, you’d have to pick up the pieces of it and tell the taxidermist to sew em together lmao. nobody wants bullet riddled venison, theres no point

I mean I “hunt” small game, but it’s more pest control than actual hunting. I’m for 2A mostly, I just think it’s similar to two extremes being moronic. The state SHOULD allow for regulated militias and somehow make better attempts at working alongside them and open carry 2A auditors need to chill the fuck out with their bullshit as well as admit we do have a serious gun violence problem and help work towards solving it.

yeah same. as a single female i carry as well. my malinois is to protect me, the glock is to protect the malinois. i just think that most ppl who own auto rifles are nottt using it to hunt, and if they are then that raises more questions bc they’re just killing for killing sake. ive seen a 6 point shot w an automatic. they left it there. ripped ol boy apart for nothing. the only excuse imo is preparation to hold a nasty angle. 115 grain shoots through doors in a 9mm so its really not necessary

The argument has always been kind of lost on self-defense tbh. ARs aren’t meant to be a deterrent for intruders, they’re supposed to be a deterrent for the state. Like sure, the state has firepower the average person doesn’t have, but small arms are what control and win conflicts. That’s why the wording was a “well-regulated militia”.

i agree! but thats my point fr, the people who ride so hard on self defense from the state are not using it for that purpose. they’re just go to the range to feel powerful and not hit center on the target lmao. im in texas. you’d be surprised how many ppl who fly “don’t tread on me” and “come and take it” flags will let themselves be tread on and let them come and take it. they only use em to kill regular ppl here. they’re not about what they say they are. at all.

i had a post yesterday. im not saying do away w em. ofc down here what i have is sufficient for deer, javelina, etc. we dont have big game like that. but it should fs be much harder. a different license even, requiring mental health evaluation and thorough background checks. and close the gun show loophole. our guns are our right. but its important to me that people getting killing machines are not getting them to kill civilians. and thats all they seem to do.

i’m a real texan. they can try to come and take em if they want to lmao. but i know that i’m responsible. no criminal record. never even got a traffic ticket. they’re loaded and on safety, but in a biometric safe. carrying always, but never shot anyone, the dog is the warning. we just have to be more selective nationwide. children shouldn’t die bc losers wanna own a dick bigger than theirs

Well conscription is what I’m talking about…or at least only slightly leaning into due to most, if not all, of their people knowing how to operate a rifle and understand its purpose. Not going to say we need to force people into the military, but we need something to change to moronic larper culture within 2A. Shit is unbelievably cringe. It should just be an unspoken rule that you own a rifle and you know I own one too. I don’t need to know see your bug out bag.

Yeah, I’m not talking about the minority though. Name a single other political position where you think “the loud minority” is doing a beneficial service to their movement. You can fight for a right without coming across as a fucking tool. That plays to normal people.

exactly. im licensed for a reason lmao. my safe is in my closet, and i keep my bedroom door locked. ive got 2 dogs, one a retired k-9 that bite on command. im well equipped. i just don’t think ppl unwilling to do the work to be ready should have the tools to cause harm to everyone else
