Sorry but what’s the problem with this? Seems like they’re just traffic cameras with license reading, which ~I imagine~ helps law enforcement track down suspects.

The problem is that it watches, catalogues, and constructs a profile of your every move available for law enforcement or corporations to access, lawfully or not. Additionally, these cameras are ridiculously insecure, and anyone can access their data. Already they’ve been used to stalk people. So even if you don’t care about the obvious dangers of a surveillance state, at least acknowledge the extreme danger in giving abusive cops the power to track innocent peoples’ movements.
