Just think how many people on SNAP benefits could be fed if the 300 million dollars for the ballroom could be diverted to help those in need… talk about helping Americans

The ballroom is funded by private funds earmarked for the ballroom. The republicans have been trying to pass a continuing resolution to fund the government while continuing to debate on next year’s budget but the democrats have shot it down like 12 times and have been quoted as saying that the longer the shutdown lasts the more it helps them. The democrats are starving those people for their votes.

You do know that Trump is flipping the bill for the ballroom. You do also know that it needs three more democrats to vote yes on the bill, while republicans have been trying to negotiate.

Government can move funds for Snap I don't want to hear it. Dems are not budging because 1) the public views this as republicans driving the shut down (because it is) 2) no one should be denied healthcare and the rebs are trying to take that away. Everyone sees through this republican smoke screen

Also the ballroom is paid by private donors many of which are anonymous. Just another data point for the most corrupt president ever.

No, you’re wrong, the democrats could vote to fund healthcare while they debate the fiscal budget for next year but they voted no while every republican voted yes. And the ballroom funds aren’t public funds. The government CANNOT just move funds for snap while it’s closed and the democrats won’t vote to reopen in because, as you said, they know they can blame republicans even though republicans have voted to open it

Why does it matter if they’re anonymous or not, the white house gets an upgraded event space with NO taxpayer money wasted. Cry me a river

It matters because he's taking bribes but you just don't want to admit it. He literally just pardoned someone "who he didn't know" but yet CZs company works closely with dominari.

That’s part of my point. Some rich private donors (including the president who said he contributed money) decided that funding a ballroom only a small group of people will ever use is somehow more important than ensuring Americans won’t starve. That kids won’t.

Which says so much of his priorities. A ballroom for himself and the rich rather than help the low income and starving people of America.
