It’s heartbreaking to me how we as a nation keep finding ways to terrorize people by forcibly separating families. Whether in the Slave Trade, Indian removal, prison system, or ICE’s kidnapping of migrants. It’s hard to hold faith when we don’t change. 💔

It’s easy. First step is turning off your tv. There’s 300 million people in the United States and those ppl you describe account for less than 1% of the population.

How is scale a justification for injustice? Every one of them is a human being, made in the image and likeness of God, born into families whom they love and love them. And we treat each and every one of them as less than human when we break apart their families. Christ did not excuse the dehumanization of his children because they were only a handful of them.

And if Christ would not do such a thing, how possibly can I, as a Christian, be anything but just as heartbroken as my lord and savior, and cry along side him as we treat human beings as less than human?

If your only argument is “stop whining it doesn’t happen to that many people” that’s a really bad argument

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
