That being said, they need 60 votes, so this wouldn’t pass by itself. We’re using an old Republican trick against them rn. They’re now the ones that want to keep other stuff out of the CR, and we’re the ones using the shutdown as leverage for policies we want

you failed to account for the simple fact that nothing you say matters, nobody has the balls to stop them. its literally all trump is doing now. he wants something? nobody gonna stop him. now republicans see that they want to say something that isnt true? you cant stop them from saying it. it doesnt matter if they know its true or not, its what they want

This nihilistic, apathetic shit is what they want. They want to destroy your hope so that there’s no resistance

i have hope its just not with the current democrat "opposition" party who is actively quelling any response to this shit people like zohran (hoping platner, maybe omar fateh, the dude trying to replace pelosi, aoc, etc) could actually spark something.

We’re using the shut down because it’s undemocratic to continue to fund fascism. It’s different

Oh I don’t blame them. It’s about damn time. The demands from the Dems include an extension of Obamacare tax cuts (IIRC?) which, if not passed, would otherwise result in premiums 10-20% higher. Also, they want to undo the Medicare cuts (or maybe it was Medicaid? Can’t remember)
