The national guard was called into NYC a few years ago by the democratic governor. And mass deportations and separation of families was the norm under Obama’s policy. He got the nickname “deporter-in-chief” for a reason.

Obama held raids the same way under Homan. Both Obama and Trump are claiming to “focus on criminals”, but that ends up taking the shape of deporting whoever they come across that meets criteria.

There should be a council of people who have no political affiliation, republican and democrats in a council will fight, a council of unbiased people instead of one president will get shit done. They would need to provide proof that they are not in a part or biased just like the fbi does deep background checks

I hate to break it to you, but voting will literally most likely always be "lesser of two evils" like you're never going to like either candidate 100% and they're politicians so they're always going to be evil so this point doesn't entirely make any sense. if you want to make REAL change, it needs to happen at state level first bc expecting the big change to happen at federal level FIRST is kinda insane

Uh….i live in nyc. Army n air guard have been activated since 9/11 and the most recent time they were called to state active duty was because our hotels turned into shelters for asylum seekers

Hochul called in the National guard from March 2024 through this year, increasing to 1000 members in January. This was specifically to address the rising crime in the subways.

This is a self-fulfilling prophecy. The only reason we need to vote for the lesser of two evils is because people have shown the democrats time and time again that there aren’t any consequences for their actions as long as they let republicans be fascists. If we demand someone who we actually believe in instead of letting them move to the right on social and economic issues then we’ll get that
