I don’t think that there’s actually been a murder by ice, i shouldn’t have said that. but if you look at video footage and read headlines, you’d understand. and just a few days ago ice took children from inside their home, zip tied them, then put them in a U-Haul truck.

I appreciate that you can own that first part. In no way am I condoning everything that ICE is doing however I haven’t heard of either of these occurrences. I did guess your kidnapping claim was in reference to Chicago. My only thought was the heightened intensity was due to the fact that it was believed the complex was frequented/inhabited by Venezuelan gang members. Perhaps they feared retaliation or resistance and didn’t want to chance anyone.

I did read that any children of undocumented immigrants who were arrested were taken to be held/watched until they could be handed over to another family member or the state if necessary. You could say this incident blurred the lines between detaining and “kidnapping” as far as holding people outside in vans while they raided the apartment.

yeah maybe and I wasn’t trying to spread false information in any way. I just think that ICE has overtaken whatever power they hold. I don’t know when ICE first started but I never heard of them before Trump came into office and I think that says a lot.

There has actually been a history of issues with ICE agents in the past. I think it is wrong to demonize all ICE agents, but there were issues and complaints spanning back to Obamas administration and further. I think with the increased crackdown of illegal immigrants under Trump people are seeing instances of overstepping and misconduct more, and some people just want to capitalize on it as another “Trump problem” but it’s kinda just been a thing for a while tbh
