So it’s no longer at the moment of conception? Both prevent eggs from being released so the sperm has nowhere to go really, or the copper iud just creates a hostile environment so the sperm doesn’t even get past the uterus.

Well they’re also going after porn so it’ll be harder for men to masturbate. I think they want a society with a baby boom but instead of creating an actually good society they’re going with cut off every avenue for sexual pleasure that isn’t sex without a condom.

I think they view childless adults as a net negative on society and want to do everything they can to force them to have kids bc our social welfare programs depend on it

And like you said, I find it so baffling and at the same time so characteristically malicious that they chose to make life absolutely miserable with no way to prevent unwanted pregnancies instead of just making it better so that people will actually want to have kids, I seriously can’t understand wtf is leading them to choose this way of doing it though

I assume for two reasons, one bc the social programs that people claim they want so they can have kids costs money, and two population decline in rich countries is more of a social thing than a policy thing. Plenty of countries have policies that make it easier to have kids and people aren’t having enough kids. I think the govt is still going to have to pay people to have kids even in the scenario they want

It’s so funny because Japan, the country my grandma is from, also has a declining birth rate. But they fix it by literally inviting people to immigrate to the country to have sex with women there. This country is so ass backwards on the same issue and it makes no sense 😭
