There was a vote in the senate to table the motion (put it aside and not vote on it) and it passed 51-49. Along party lines except Rand Paul and Josh Hawley also voted “no”. So the senate won’t be demanding that the DOJ do anything

Discharge petition in the house should be a lock though. They have 216 votes. A dem just won a special election in VA and Dems are expected to win a special election in AZ, so that will bring them to 218
