Nothing disturbs me more than seeing the comment section on those videos of the missiles hitting Tel Aviv and seeing the unadulterated antisemitism in them. Like, dead civilians are bad in any country, let’s not celebrate it. Especially not w/ vitriol

Btw, it’s important to champion good causes, that is important. But it is also imperative that you don’t get caught up in the hate and unknowingly pick up Islamophobic or antisemitic tendencies. Remember to reflect on your beliefs and check your biases. And ensure those around you don’t as well, and call them out on it when they do.

yeah, it is terrible that at least 3 Israeli and minimum 40 Iranian civilians have already been killed. any antisemitic or islamophobic sentiment is objectively bad but please understand, anti-Israeli internet reactions are largely a reaction to endless bombings on civilians in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, the West Bank, and ofc live streamed genocide in Gaza. not only Israeli Jewish leaders, but most of the Israeli Jewish population actively cheered on these tens of thousands of murders

if your goal is to end this backlash, the only way is stopping the main source of violence: Israel’s US-backed expansionism
