My family lived in section 8 housing till 8th grade. There were times we’d barely have enough one “meal” a day. Those marginalized groups, my neighbors, fed us, gave my brother and I clothes, drove us to school when my parent’s car wouldn’t start.
Those groups are better than any suburban communities. That struggle was one we all shared together. I’d gladly live with them again. They make better neighbors than people like OP because they’re capable of empathy.
