I mean all this Elon shit shows is that he never really believed any of the far right shit he was pushing, he just thought it would be a convenient way for him to get power. Once he realized he had less sway over Trump than he thought, he immediately pivoted back to being a “sensible centrist.” But he will always be remembered as the guy who did a Nazi salute on live TV

The difference is that Elon seemed to take this very personally. DOGE is now a fun little memory that Trump voters have forgotten already. This admin’s goal was not to cut waste, it was to pay for tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy, and yet still added 3 trillion to the deficit
