Depends, right now my starting salary out of college is 125k , though I live in a fairly expensive area. If I was in my home city I could buy a starter home for less than 300k so I would be able to afford the down payment within a couple years or sooner. If I wanted to stay in the area I just moved to(I don’t) it would take longer.
