The idea of woke is so far gone atp. Like it first meant able to acknowledge one’s place in the world, others places, and understanding how society shaped those outcomes. Now it’s just “shit u have liberal ideas ur wokeeee”

To me it had always come across as sort of elitist. Wherever the term came from it was terrible marketing, it sounds like its own parody of self-righteousness. It’s like when Andrew Tate Stans say they broke out of the matrix or something

That’s a good way to describe it, genuine “woke” would be acknowledging that men also suffer from the patriarchy, therefore it is in their interest to be against it. Not celebrating an increase in men’s suicides like a sociopath
