Every time we do this dialogue I’m reminded people don’t know what words mean. RACISM IS A ACTION Everyone can be PREJUDICED against others and have thoughts about other groups as being unequal or worst then them. The issue with saying a minority group is “racist” is that it implies they have the power or authority to treat others poorly because they dislike their color. Black people do not have the ability to do Theese things.

And why don’t they have the ability to do those things? Especially in minority dominated areas

Because it has to be backed by systemic oppression, history of oppression, AND A MINORITY GROUP. Black people are not the majority (at least in the US) they literally by DEFINITION cannot be racist. YES they can be prejudice, YES they can be oppressive, NO it’s not racist. It’s still bad. It’s not racism.

Atlanta Georgia is one of many. 46% black vs 38% white. My dad is mixed between white and a couple other races and a couple restaurants down there refused to serve him lol (obviously not directly, but he waited over an hour for service in each and ppl who got there after him were getting served)

Ohhhhh so one anecdotal family experience and nowwwww reverse racism exists. No one should be discriminated against. It sucks. Still not racism tho!

Also im confused why racism needs to be backed by systematic oppression though? The oxford definition of “racism” is “prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group” I don’t think this lines up with the definition you gave, but maybe we are using different definitions here

Reverse racism doesn’t exist. It’s just racism. I don’t see your point here At least using the definitions I’ve seen

Good point. I did assume reverse racism. Still is systemic at least I would say is important for the definition. This is Australias human rights definition that I feel summarizes it a little better than I could:
