As someone who smokes it, it’s still a drug, it’s still dangerous. It’s like having meth.

There both risky, highly addictive, could kill you, have most of the same symptoms when taken. Meth is just stronger

Weed also impacts your psychological development, it’s a gateway drug to other things, screws with your whole body and health, increases mental health risks and has long term effects.

I’m in good shape, have a good job, no mental health problems, and no interest in trying any other drugs. Why should I not be allowed to smoke a J here and there in my own home? Is that really any more harmful than me, completely legally, slamming a fifth nightly if I wanted to? And really, is this something worth putting people in jail for? I’d argue a few years in jail ruins your life way more than a habit of smoking weed, and it costs taxpayers thousands annually to imprison each offender

#1 sounds like how my mom talks about weed, (shes the type of person that still thinks weed should be a multi decade sentence) yet they smoke it themselves. I dont think ive ever seen that level of hypocrisy. And as someone who also smokes, everything in moderation. As long as you got the rest of your life going good no need for people to be ridiculous

I don’t think it should be a lifelong sentence, but you also shouldn’t be buying it off the streets for fun and games. It should only be medical when a doctor says you can take it.
