Well, for starters, fix that stupid gun show loophole, second, having a child means you are required to own a gun safe if you own a fire arm. Third, firearms must have a waiting period between purchase and acquirement, this goes for ALL firearms not just semi automatic firearms. Finally, guns cannot be gifts. This last one might be a bit much, but I also think semi automatic center fire rifles should require a permit granted by the local sheriff or law enforcement officer.

i completely agree. i personally don’t think gun violence needs to be a left or right political stance because i grew up and still am very old school country gal republican and my father has every single gun including mine (with my license) locked away in a safe. there definitely needs to be more laws for that i agree. but, unfortunately accidents can happen where someone fakes a purchase, a parent leaves the safe open, and even just people with no morals who go out and hurt others.

We shouldn’t be worried about what could happen when we can prevent what will happen. The only solution that will stop gun violence is to get rid of all guns and we all know that won’t happen. Honestly I’m in the camp that semi automatic rifles are a little unnecessary for civilian use but I figure compromise is the only option.

To be fair a lot of states have the third law. So it’s not really that radical.
