48.3 < 49.8 that’s what it means to win the popular vote. by pure numbers he got the most votes of any candidate he also got the most electoral votes which is what actually matters to win the election. there are third party candidates that take up small portions of the vote which is why it doesn’t add up perfectly. you can see in the numbers he got about 2 million more votes than kamala did. i’m not happy about it but it’s the truth
