in the 2024 general election, Texan voters had a choice between Raphael “Ted” Cruz (incumbent since 2013) and Colin Allred. whereas the funniest thing about Cruz is his opposition to people being able to change their names even though he did it himself, for Allred it’s the fact that he does not stop talking about his time as a linebacker. oh, and they’re both AIPAC* funded

according to opensecrets.org, AIPAC is Cruz’s top campaign contributor for 2024 ($562,877) whereas JStreetPAC—a sibling of AIPAC—was Allred’s (campaign, 2024, $220,564) and Allred was the House Rep for Texas’s 32nd (Dallas and friends). he really was the lesser of two evils.
