I’ve seen a lot of posts about how rape trials should go and here’s my take:
Instead of “beyond a reasonable doubt,” rape cases should instead be “more certain than not” to account for the near impossibility to prove rape beyond a reasonable doubt
“Yeah if a crime is bad enough you don’t actually have to prove they did it” is not a good system.

This balances keeping the burden of proof off of the alleged victim but also makes it easier to prosecute. This would be much better about not finding innocent people guilty than simply flipping the burden of proof

You also cannot reasonably determine what “more certain than not” means in the context of a jury and judge.
