I think Biden nostalgia is ok. I was viciously critical of Biden over Israel and economics, but at least I was confident food didn’t have glass shards, science was still being funded, and departments were staffed by professionals. Ya know?

Like, yeah, things were objectively better under Joe Biden’s administration. That’s undeniable. However, that led to a palpable sense of complacency. Mfs went back to brunch. The cracks were still there for Trump/MAGA to exploit, but we stopped looking at them because we had a competent, boring President. Most people got outside after COVID in 2021-22, and understandably didn’t wanna think about politics ever again. But politics never goes away and that bit them in the ass.
