If the pregnant person is planning on giving birth, it absolutely should be a double homicide because that life was taken away without the consent of the carrier.

No because she’s terminating the fetus with her own consent. If you terminate a woman’s fetus without their consent, that’s not abortion, that’s murder. Does that make more sense?
