Wait that’s such a dumbass thing to say now that I think about it even more. What do you think FDR was referring to when he said “they are unanimous in their hate for me, and I welcome their hatred”? COD waiting rooms?

We had “Lady Liberty” on just about every last coin in America until 1908 when Lincoln was put on the cent. Our last Lady Liberty coin was the Walking Liberty Half Dollar which was last minted in 1947. Lady Liberty was used to purchase slaves. She was used to lobby for forced sterilization laws during the Eugenics movement. She never saw the end of a Segregated Apartheid United States. But sure, there wasn’t mainstream media brainwashing.

For reference the next time we put her on a coin was 1986 on the bullion $1 American Silver Eagle coins and the Statue of Liberty Centennial Commemorative set
