The answers are subjective so people can define it however they want. However that also means others don’t have to accept your definition unless you can convince them your definition is right.

Definitions of words cannot be subjective, but it's not about changing the definition in a defining sense, it's about changing the social perspective of gender.

No one is asking you to ignore one to justify the other, they're asking you to look past the one to see the person underneath as more than just a collection of definitions.

Look past is quite literally a synonym for ignore but sure. I see the point you are trying to make and I agree in seeing people for the human life that they are regardless of presentation or identity. However, this is a topic of conversation that becomes irrelevant without definitions.
