We should take a page from India’s playbook on indigenous land rights, the circled region is an area predominantly composed of indigenous tribes and the Indian government has banned any other people from owning land there to not upset the demographics
I just found out about it a few weeks ago. I wanted to read more into it because it seems like a better system.
Their no contact policy with the North Sentinelese is something I find interesting.

Is that not just exactly what reservations are? And India isn’t like a perfect model, the situation for indigenous peoples in the Andaman and Nicobar islands is really bad right now.
