When was the last time we had a truly transparent administration? FDR?

You mean the one where Trump talks to the press almost every day and the last guy - you can count on one hand how many times he gave a press conference during his entire presidency? Keep complaining. You look foolish.

Comparatively it still is the most transparent….

I mean he is arguably the most accessible President, given his social media posts and frequent interactions with journalists/the press. Far, far more so than the previous Administration for sure. Love him or hate him, he’s very vocal.

vocal doesn’t mean transparent. shutting down forecast information, various public databases, rephrasing past statements of various officials? that’s not transparency.

ending white house visitor log releases, not releasing his tax returns, destroying records and unwillingness to follow FOIA regulations sure screams “transparency”

It’s been 6 years dude. If the FBI is covering anything up then Biden’s FBI was covering it up, too. Tired of talking about a nothing burger case, if there was a list then it would’ve been leaked by now.

Yeah, ofc both parties are covering it up. What’s your point? You do realize that the government is run by extremely corrupt elites, most of who are prob on the list, right? And you’re just going to mindlessly deep throat what the government said? They released a fucking tampered video as the “raw” evidence

and that’s why it needs to be released. so we know who on BOTH sides doesn’t belong anywhere in government

I’m inclined to believe you tbh but there’s been no corroborating evidence that there is a list, at least from what I’m aware of. It’s only been pundits and influencers assuming there is one, so until there’s a credible witness (not Elon Musk) that says there is one I’m hesitant to believe there is one. I’m not trying to get sucked down the conspiracy sinkhole.

If it’s a conspiracy then how come republicans ran on releasing the files if there is no corroborating evidence of a list? Why would they spread unfounded lies to their base? And you can’t seem to address why they would release an edited video labeled as raw?

Politicians lie to get elected and it’s a very charged issue which would motivate the base. They said what they had to at the time without thinking of the consequences. Plus, maybe they actually believed there is one at the time. I have a hard time believing that Dan Bongino (probably spelled wrong) wouldn’t have leaked it or something. And I think the video could have been edited or maybe it is just an old system, especially given the underfunded and outdated state of technology in government.

The metadata showed that it had been put through Adobe Premiere multiple times and saved multiple times. It’s not a matter of an old system Also, if it’s a very charged issue, why do they want people to stop talking about it? Why do they talk about how we need to move on and forget about it, even though they’re still discussing 2020? The president answers to the people, and right now, he’s not answering to us. In fact, he’s explicitly fighting against answering to the people

Interesting, as I said I’m not engaged too much with this so that (apparent) video editing is new information for me (if I’m not being misled). But then the question needs to be asked of if, for example, Trump was on “the list”, why would he speak so much of releasing it and spinning up his base about it? And after all that go back on his word to his base? Politically, it doesn’t make sense. Then again, this probably won’t matter come midterm season. People vote on the Economy, not Epstein.

Trump famously thinks things through and doesn’t act impulsively, that’s true. He is cool and calculating and not hot headed. I’m sure he was careful not to self incriminate Also you think pedophilia isn’t a dealbreaker for people? Yeah, people vote for other stuff, but they also take stuff like being a pedo defender seriously

Nah if the list came out and he/others were on it then he’s done, but if there’s no list it’ll probably fizzle out within a month or two (amongst the media, at least). But given the gravity of the situation he wouldn’t want to incriminate himself or draw any attention to it. If you were guilty, would you promise to release the evidence on yourself? He’s not an idiot, after all.

He’s not, you can’t be a billionaire and a two time president by being stupid. You may hate him, but he’s not an idiot. That much is true.

You’re right, he had a small million dollar loan and only bankrupted multiple casinos. And even if he was a smart businessman, that doesn’t correlate to being a smart person across the board Trump won because the Dems have no spine and because he is charismatic. He lost an election to fucking Joe Biden of all people, who was an idiot even before his declining health. His policies such as cutting social security for example are unpopular when you look at polling, but yet dumbasses picked him

trump didn’t become rich from wit. he’s a nepo baby who had his many business ventures bought out by his dad. his dad had a guy go in and buy millions worth of chips at one of his casinos without actually using them so the casino could pay its rent then when fred died, his kids sold their dad’s empire for a pretty penny, adding to donald’s fortune he also has an obsession with appearing rich but not actually spending money. people call him the “poor person’s rich man” for a reason

Disagreeing doesn’t make it less transparent. Apparently you all want the secrecy. Who was actually running the country during Biden’s term? It wasn’t Biden.
