my brother in christ, please read literally any psychological study. prison has a negative affect on quite literally everyone who experiences it, and it does nothing to help integrate people back into society. look up prison statistics of us compared to literally any other country and it’s appalling how the best country is stuck in its original imprisonment system, while every other developed country has surpassed us in every aspect, including prisons burden on taxpayers
