Tanganyika/Tanzania has been governed by the same ruling party since independence (TANU, which then merged with the ruling party in Zanzibar in 1977 to form CCM)

OK and? I mean sure he was a hypocrite, but it doesn’t discount what he said.

The two parties are very different, and thinking they are the same is not a good take. For example, OBBBA passed in July cut Medicaid for 10 million people, which wouldn’t have happened under a Democratic administration.
