According to who? I know younger Gen Z is full of conservative cranks, but idk if they’re getting religious or if they’re just secular conservative ghouls

The rise in Christianity could be attributed to immigration of Christian Latinos but it’s rising. Not massively but recovering from a decline

I will admit the growth in Catholicism is very interesting to me, especially the right wing “tradcath” phenomenon by which people seem to be joining the Catholic Church because it’s the “based” thing to do, and then they commit some of the most basic heresies of the Catholic Church that one could possibly think up.

I think the tradcaths especially the groypers are mainly an internet thing.

As someone raised Catholic, you kinda pinned the tail on the donkey with this one. Many older Catholics kinda hate how progressive the church has become and a lot of the converts are similar (but like, why the fuck come here if you hate it???). Still, a lot of older Catholics are quite progressive and follow the Pope and most of the Gen X through Gen Z cradle Catholics tend to be pretty progressive

The older Conservative Catholics are so stuck in their ways that they’d probably prefer Mass to still be held in Latin and long for Residential Schools and nun yardstick beatdowns to return.
