Saying this without elaborating is…curious. I assume you’re not blaming him for Trump’s birther conspiracy?

I blame him for the fomentation of the worst belief that the american populace holds: nothing can ever get better. He ran on change, changed nothing, I think that was a turning point for many Americans into pure complacency. Also he hurt a lot of innocent people and started the kids in cages thing but that’s more particular and specific.

It’s not just his fault, or even mostly. Bill Clinton would be more responsible for our complacency issue than Obama. But that doesn’t mean Obama isn’t responsible

“Changed nothing”? Are you on your own health insurance plan right now, or are you on your parents’?

Nothing fundamental.

Like the issues that plagued America during the Obama admin are now WORSE than they were before

The child separation was limited to cases where they suspected human trafficking. It was not used as a deterrent across the board like Trump did

Nothing fundamental besides cutting the number of uninsured people almost in half. That’s 20-24 million people. Jfc

I’m not saying he didn’t do good shit, but what we need isn’t cutting the uninsured in half, its a public option.

Blame Mitch McConnell and John Boehner for that one

Perfection is the enemy of progress. A public option was never passing Congress. But tens of millions no longer risk going into medical debt for calling an ambulance. I think discounting that fact shows considerable privilege

That's because senate republicans blocked everything he wanted to do and he had to deal with the recovery from a massive crisis. No president is going to change much of anything until the filibuster is reformed. It doesn't matter who you put in.
