They believe in “morality” (which ofc they define). I grew up in these circles, and if something is touted as good or moral or correct by someone who fits already established criteria of morality, it is thus. Once a person or idea is approved, it no longer needs questioning by the populace, but can also be disappeared by higher ups, and everyone will forget it, automatically labelling it old or immoral to put it out of mind.
