I have yet to hear a good argument against investing in massive solar power projects and nuclear energy. It’s good for the environment, it is economical, and it is good for our foreign policy goals.

Solar power requires expanding mining operations to acquire the natural resources like metals and minerals used for the electronic components. Nuclear is less resource intensive but has a higher risk. To be honest, modern nuclear energy is much safer than it was decades ago so it is a reliably efficient option. Nuclear power is the future, simple as.

Solar power is tricky cuz it’s an expensive process that requires large amounts of land and a good amount of upkeep. Nuclear energy on the other hand the benefits far outweigh the risks/costs.

The supply chain for nuclear can easily be closed if proper breeder technologies are applied. Those reactor types already exist so it wouldn’t be too big of a step up to incorporate more.
