so I know this is out there, but if a fetus is a person and deserves rights, then why is it only once said fetus is born is when they’re given US citizenship? anti-choice conservative logic makes no sense

I feel like this is a fire argument for birthright citizenship against the average layman who’s also pro-life lmao. But you can’t really give an SSN to a person that doesn’t even have a name

Well I feel like this is because it’s called birth right citizenship (occurring at birth not conception) I don’t disagree I just feel like this isn’t an amazing argument

yeah logically it would only make sense to either give all rights+citizenship at conception (issues with this, I know, plus other things I personally don’t agree with) or just everything at birth. but conservatives will never acknowledge this dilemma

Fair I’m personally not far or really leaning anything. I think people who play identity politics in general are hypocritical. MAGA especially tho. I try my best not to be.
