you know what, maybe you’re right. nationalize microsoft instead. breaking up into the subsidiaries that it owns would just set the whole process back a few years before they inevitably consolidated again

they’re a part of an oligopoly with google, apple, ibm, oracle…. honeslty probably more of a monopolistic competition tbh. is microsoft the biggest and probably best in software? well yeah, but they have a lot of competitors in every industry they operate it - just woke up like 5 minutes ago, hope that makes sense and isn’t just rambling
