This Merriam-Webster definition looks pretty spot-on to me

We have elections every 4 years, and you don’t what autocracy is. And if Trump wanted to suppress the opposition he could a lot more than he is

We’re just seeing the start of him being an authoritarian, he’s already said multiple times that he’s deploying the military to blue cities to “fight the enemy within” aka any opposition and has called for jailing democratic officials in Chicago. And we don’t know yet it he’s gonna try to cancel elections yet because we haven’t had any yet (they happen every 2 years btw) but I doubt that they will be free and fair if we do. Stop making excuses for him, just because it’s not as bad as it could

be yet it doesn’t mean it can’t and won’t get worse.

Fascism is a whole different worse than a slightly authoritarian elected official. And you know that. Trump won the popular vote and the electoral college, that is the people’s mandate

The nazis were also democratically elected in germany so what’s your point? Even “slight” authoritarianism has absolutely no place in this country, and like I said so many times before it has the potential to get so much worse. He’s also violated a lot of other laws and defied other lawmakers who were also chosen and supported by “the people.”

No they weren’t. Hitler was put as chancellor not elected. Good try tho

There’s more nuance to it—nazi party won an election and hitler was chosen as chancellor afterwards. So yes, the nazi party was democratically elected, which resulted it hitler being chosen. Nice try

Pick up a book. Hitler wasn’t named as chancellor by a fellow Nazi, it was viewed as a way to appeal to them. If you knew how to not act disingenuous you’d appeal to more people.

Yeah he was declared chancellor BECAUSE the nazis (literally his own party) gained so much control of the government, are you fucking stupid?
