Yeah well put. Lots of people love to excuse the cruelty of this moment by acting like you’re naive to think America has ever been anything but cruel. Existing imperialistic wrongdoings aside, pulling the rug on desperate people is still abhorrent

Last I checked, pre 60s imperialism didn’t include sending aid to countries to develop either dependency and/or favored relations. It was straight up going into countries and offing people and shit
