Funny how people say young men are ‘radicalized’ when the data shows they’ve barely moved at all…they’ve gotten more progressive.

This data is 18-29yr olds until 2023, I do think the last voting cycle you would’ve seen a sharper increase. That being said, young people are the least likely to vote, only 50% of people ages 18-29 voted in the past election. I think it’s a social thing that’s usually being referenced

These are averages. Also, methodology matters. How did they evaluate “liberal”? Self-identification, beliefs?

The guardian is a left leaning news source, ask them- they published it.

Oh it says: “percent liberal minus percent conservative”

They literally just took the percents that self-identified as liberal or conservative and subtracted them.

That’s a NEWS SOURCE. Idgaf what they think about the subject, the best source of info is RESEARCH and DATA.

Left leaning, and the data they used was from Gallup poll social series data.

I don’t care what the headlines are or what their political leaning is. I only care about the data and how they are generated

My whole point is that you should not jump to conclusions about the total data distribution after reading some headlines and briefly glancing at a graph

I read it. Here: “Over the past few years, about 4 in 10 young women between the ages of 18 and 29 have described their political views as liberal, compared with two decades ago when about 3 in 10 identified that way.” *described their political views as liberal*
