The reality is that poor people SHOULD be able to have kids but society SHOULDN’T be responsible for covering where they can’t, in a vacuum. BUT, an innocent kid SHOULDN’T suffer for their poor parents’ mistakes so society SHOULD support the kid.

Adoption rates are ass. They've always been ass. Nobody cares about adoption because adoptive parents don't get higher recognition in my opinion.

Or it’s bc adoption is behind a massive fucking paywall and is incredibly predatory towards at risk women so many people avoid it out of fear the child was forcibly given up or unethically placed into adoption, and the rest just can’t afford it
