If AI is inevitable, it should be used to work difficult jobs so people can write books and draw pictures. Instead, we work difficult jobs while AI is used to write books and draw pictures.

lol clearly you’re not keeping up to date. People using it to write books and draw pictures is training the models to do those difficult tasks. It already can do extremely difficult/time consuming tasks through things like Claude Code or Codex and agentic models/programs. It’s already passed the Turing Test and some models making >30% (<1% a year ago) on the HLE. It’s only a matter of time.

“Those difficult tasks” aren’t tasks. You’re so programmed by soulless capitalists that art and creativity is something to automate artificially. You’re physically eroding your brain (recent MIT study) by depending on this novelty item. Congratulations. You fell for a thneed.

Not once did I say humans were replaceable in creative applications. I’m saying ai is already doing the stuff of sci-fi. Like how it’s analyzing millions of transactions a second for fraud detection. Or how it detects lung cancer in CT scans earlier and more accurately than radiologists. I’m not saying radiologists are replaceable, but it is an excellent tool right now. Plus “AI” isn’t just gimmicky thneed chatbots. AI is a huge category for so much technology that is actively changing the world

AI isn’t real. They’re LLMs. Massive difference. And you certainly implied that there is a declining need for human component in art. LLMs are killing people. They’re putting them into psychosis. They’re eroding the skills of those who use them. It’s good for analyzing large number models, but that’s about it. We are in global water bankruptcy. There won’t be a world if we continue this way.

There certainly is good use for them (as you mentioned), but art and creativity isn’t one of them. We are overusing and hyper dependent on LLMs to the detriment of our entire nation. A good tool is fully controllable. LLMs are not this.
