If you're a Trump supporter you should thank god that you're not smart or a good person because genuinely that shit is so depressing

Not a trump supporter or voter. Just think shit like this is the problem, writing half of the country off as dumb and evil is exactly the reason Trumps in the White House. Everyone makes their own rational decision to vote the way they do, we need to appeal to them instead of this shit.

Polls say 49% of them would continue to support him even if proven he raped children, there is simply no reaching those ppl

The only help they can get is for him to die eventually, and they slowly come back to reality like tapering off a drug

There’s certainly a way to reach 51% of them that have a line at least. Maybe even the rest eventually. His numbers crashed after January 6th, there is a limit for most people.

Even talk like that is harmful, it’s not a drug duping our fellow citizens, they’re making rational choices based on their own interests. We just need to show them that our interests are more aligned than different, it’s a messaging problem.

If they would still support a man politically despite him having raped children, that’s no longer rational choices, that’s crossed into solidly irrational territory. If he’s allowed to rape children, he’s allowed to do anything, bc they believe vague promises of whatever they want to hear

At that point it’s not political support, it’s a religious belief. Worship of this man overrides disgust for what is maybe the most horrific crime known to mankind

Honestly, I'm done being nice and supportive while holding onto a sliver of hope that trumpies will figure out right from wrong. It doesn't matter what you say to them. You use facts and research and gently introduce it to them, now you're a crazy batshit brainwashed lib. You yell at them for being terrible, now they cry about being bullied

Then why aren’t we telling him what they want to hear, he’s not even that conservative.

When we look back at ppl like Hitler and Mao and wonder how tf they were allowed to get away with it all, this is literally how. They don’t care what he does, he doesn’t even have to be that conservative, they will always always support it

I mean political polarization requires two to tango. Trump is a reaction to a lot of socially liberal polices, and real economic concerns from a lot of people who felt left out of the system. There are way too many Obama, Obama Trump, Trump, Trump voters out there to say they’re all the way gone.

I mean it’s not even that, he’s just by no means a popular person. We just happen to run him against the least popular other three candidates in our counties history. The party apparatus that was supposed to create an anti Trump challenger failed. Especially when he was able to label Kamala as pro establishment pro status quo, and most people didn’t love the status quo.

As long as religion acts as a parasite to those who lack intelligence in the first place + Trump stays alive, we're screwed. History is so gonna repeat itself because the average human unfortunately doesn't have much brain capacity

(I have absolutely no respect for religion)

You can feel however you want to personally about religion. But you should respect that for a huge chunk of our countrymen it’s a large part of their identity and will definitely affect their vote. Christians voted for Trump because he pretended to say the right things, why can’t we say the right things. Especially when we have an actually devout Catholic who attends weekly mass in the White House.

i fear it’s very stupid and dumb to support a man who’s bankrupted 6 businesses, including a casino. and to think he has any chance at helping our economy.

Yes, go outside, friends, neighbors, family. You can talk to these people, it’s not that hard to find common ground.

my entire family supports trump and even if you try to find common ground all they have to say is that democrats are insane and need to be eradicated.
