Yeah colonial economies are structurally set up to export resources and discourage domestic development. That doesn’t disappear overnight especially after they got fucked by military dictatorships. Also they were integrally a part of France for hundreds of years. Once you make your civilization into a global empire, expect the globe to come to you. Same thing w all the Indians in London owning more property than the English.

But why demand independence and kill millions in the process if you just move to France the second it happens? Independence created war, insecurity, and no government. They proved they couldn't handle it and then tried to go back to the old ways.

Also, if the Indians in London own more property than the english, clearly they have resources. It is modern-day colonization. Acting like they were left with nothing is a lie. They were left with infrastructure, most countries start from nothing. Clearly the money exists, they just choose to live in countries developed by others than developing their own.

Bruh basically went “All those Irish laborers moving to Manchester clearly proves Ireland was better under English domination.” It’s almost like it takes some time for a nation to reach the same level of development as the country which was vampiring all its resources away.
