Well, those all had protests as apart of them. Pretty much all labor protections we have were under the threat of violence to management by unions. The Pinkertons were paid to get in fights and beat laborers. The civil rights movement was no where near as peaceful as your middle school history teacher told you. America was founded on a revolution, and the Boston tea party was a riot. Protests are a start, but not the end

The issue is that contemporary protesters are nowhere near as organized as those from the past. What even are our demands? Everyone with different agendas shows up at these protests

People willing to actually fight is why we have freedom. Not people standing around with signs yelling.

If you start with violence, you’re a terrorist. If you start with protest, and the powers that be respond with violence, to which you respond in kind, then you’re a civil rights activist.
