but being relegated to a wage is somehow fine? y’all take issue with looting only when poor people do it. the thing is, they’re ‘stealing’ what was already stolen from them

The American revolution had rational support unlike the Reddit revolution.

This logic is so fucking dumb, looting and vandalism hurts the cause of the protests and causes escalation.

yeah no it turned into that after the national guard was deployed and started attacking people who were peacefully protesting. then the mob showed up trying to take advantage of the protest because they knew the cops were too busy to prevent looting. happens during natural disasters too

I don’t think you understand it’s rioters who the state actually listens to because they’re forced to listen to them

The rioters pose no real threat to the state.

Yes it emboldens those against the cause and muddies the water and allows people to argue that the escalation via the federal government is justified. They want looting, vandalism and chaos.

They want a narrative of chaos, they want to escalate.

Yes they do, a riot is the most unfiltered power the people can hold, it’s what gets attention, it’s what’s gets the general population asking “why.” If rioters posed no real threat to the state, why do the police have a dedicated squad specialized in dealing with riots? Why is Trump panicking and sending in the national guard?

Lmao it does not get the general population asking why.
