Your assumption is that a big company has to make money through sales. Or that they even really need to make profit at all. Does Lyft make profit? Does peloton? How about Pinterest or Snapchat? What about Zillow? All this money? Ethereal. Speculative.
Human labor still has an advantage: Machines can’t buy a companies products. Only human employees can.

Back in the day, auto companies started paying their workers salaries that were far higher than the average industrial worker. The philosophy behind this was that so workers could purchase their vehicles.
