Every single one of us would literally be in federal prison if we tweeted the things our President puts on his own commercial, ad-supporter social media platform. And roughly a third of the country is fine with that.

This is how laws work in any liberal democracy. The poor and rich alike are free to starve beneath a bridge. Most people in prison are black. Most prisoners are enslaved. That enslaved population is the backbone of the economy and has been for the last 160 years. It’s all connected and, yeah. The rule of law was always a lie. The second the law threatens capitalism. They just ignore it or get rid of it. Because it only exists to serve the rich.

I mean rich assholes who do crimes and never become President don’t exactly get punished either. Like shit, nobody from the Sackler family is President, they kickstarted the opioid crisis that’s killed tens of thousands of Americans, and none of them are even in prison.
