I don’t call moderate conservatives Nazis and fascists. However, I call maga Nazis and fascists because they are not moderate conservatives, and are in fact Nazis and fascists

Liberals on a global scale are centrists/center right. American politics as a whole, on a global scale, sit comfortably right wing. The things America views as extreme are hardly left wing, hence the Overton window. People throw out name calling a lot on both sides tbh, but honestly you should be pleased to see the country’s politics align more closely with your views than mine

My concern is the shift of what’s normal happening any more. I don’t want America becoming extreme on either side. Painting the centrists as extreme though shift things to a degree that freaks me out

You think MAGA is “moderate?” Ignoring court orders. Referring to the other side as “the enemy within.” Using your DOJ and FCC to silence opposing voices. Telling our troops that their loyalty is to the constitution and not to a president is “sedition.” If not duck, why quack so much like duck?

I’m not saying you specifically do it’s, but I see it everywhere on here. It’s everywhere. I see people calling for people to do you know to trump. I think it depends what you call them nazis and fascists for.

I don’t think I agree. Liberals want everything that’s the opposite of people on the right. They want open borders, all the social services one can get, they want abortion, etc etc. you can’t be on the same side of the political spectrum and want completely different things. I do I agree with that though. There is a lot of name calling on both sides.

In terms of economic policy, foreign relations, etc the American liberal is fairly right wing. Globally Israel is condemned by international courts and yet American liberals still ride for it. American liberals also despise any kind of socialism which everyone saw in the Mamdani election. That’s what they mean when they say American Liberals are right wing globally

Also liberals like Kamala and Biden were literally anti-immigration last cycle. The facts are liberals don’t really have strong beliefs and do whatever they think will get them votes. That’s why the left keeps capitulating to the right on stuff like immigration. That’s part of why American politics is slowly shifting to the right.
